SoftBody Puncturing

Hello everyone,

I am a current master’s student working on a soft tissue simulation where I want a suture needle to pierce through the tissue and get the tissue to cinch together when I tie a knot. I was wondering what would be the best way to implement this? Is it possible to edit the collision tetrahedra as the needle moves through the softbody? Would I just have to set kinematic targets for the deformable body vertices? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
