Standard procedure for custom GMSL2 sensor bring-up (OV2312) / Modifying native OV2311 SIPL driver on DRIVE AGX Orin

Hi Team,

We are working on bringing up a Leopard Imaging OV2312 GMSL2 camera module (LI-OV2312-VCSEL-OMS-GMSL2-177H) on our DRIVE AGX Orin platform(940-637010-0010-100). Because native SIPL support for the OV2312 is not included out-of-the-box in our current DRIVE OS release, we need to know the proper engineering paths to achieve camera bring-up.

Hardware Setup:

  • Platform: DRIVE AGX Orin Developer Kit
  • Camera Module: Leopard Imaging LI-OV2312-GMSL2
  • Serializer on Camera Board: MAX96717
  • Connection: Connected via Quad Camera Breakout cable to Camera Group A, Port A0 (Green connector)

Software Environment:

  • DRIVE OS Version: [ DRIVE OS 6.0.10]
