text mode profiler not working

Hi all,

just tried to activate the text mode profiler in CUDA 2.2. All environment variables are
set correctly (CUDA_PROFILE …), but in the profile log I get only the following error
message:

NV_Error: Cuda profiler initialization failed. (application is running correctly)

OS: linux 32bit (debian testing squeeze), Device: Acer Revo Aspire (ION)

CUDA_PROFILE_CONFIG contains:
gld_incoherent
gst_incoherent
warp_serialize

I didn’t specify -pg during compiling because the nvcc manual states that it is for
gprof only.

Any idea, what to try next ?

I have the same problem, for long long time, since CUDA 2.1… Now I have updated my Ubuntu to 9.04 and CUDA to 2.2, but still this same problem with profiler.
