The failure of mixing the different versions of kernel and rootfs to flashing

I tried to flash a version of kernel and the different version of rootfs together into the carried board.

I replaced the Image, kernel_headers.tbz2 and kernel_supplements.tbz2 of 32.3.1 with R32.2 in "JetPack_4.2.1_Linux_GA_P2888",then I ran apply_binaries.sh & “sudo ./flash.sh jetson-xavier mmcblk0p1”, the carried board could power on and enter desktop system.

However, I replaced the Image, kernel_headers.tbz2 and kernel_supplements.tbz2 of 32.2 with 32.3.1 in "JetPack_4.3_Linux_P2888", after I ran apply_binaries.sh & “sudo ./flash.sh jetson-xavier mmcblk0p1”, the carried board just blocked at "WARNING: at platform/drivers/mailbox/mail_mach.c" when loading the kernel, and then cycled to restart. I think some libraries are not compatible with the kernel here. Instead of looking for the difference, we should know your purpose first.

I did this try for the reason that every time my client just wants to upgrade the file system when JetPack upgrade, if the old version of the kernel could be directly flashed with the new version of the file system, the time to modify the new version of codes to match the driver development based on the old version of the code would be saved, especially if they do not need to modify the kernel.
