I installed jetpack 5.0 on jetson xavier. But nvprof is not in cuda tools.
In /usr/local/cuda/bin,. there are only the tools below.
bin2c compute-sanitizer crt cudafe++ cuda-gdb cuda-gdbserver cuda-install-samples-11.4.sh cu++filt cuobjdump fatbinary nvcc nvdisasm nvlink nvprune ptxas
Is the nvprof removed at jetpack 5.0? How can I profile my application on Jetson Xavier?
This looks to be an issue for the Jetson AGX Xavier team. I will move your post to the correct forum so support can have visibility.
Thank you for your fast replying. Looking forward to good news from the jetpack team.
Thanks for reporting this.
We are checking this with our internal team.
Will share more information with you later.
The legacy profiling tool (nvprof, nvvp) is dropped from JetPack 5.
Please use Nsight Systems and Nsight Compute instead.
In the meantime, I have been using nvprof, nvvp well. Is it possible to install them manually?
Sorry that we have dropped this tool from JetPack 5.
Would you mind giving our Nsight-based profiler a try?
I prefer nvprof because it’s lightweight and easy to use. Anyway, thanks for letting me know why nvprof is gone. I’ll have to use nsight profiler in the future.
