Ubuntu 20.04 on Jetson Nano

Hi there,
I am looking to put ros noetic onto a Jetson Nano. As this forum knows, the Jetson nano does not support Ubuntu 20.04. I have seen the community image, but this is 2 years old and our IT team identified this as a security risk to download and connect to network.

I am posting on this forum to see if there is community experience with either docker files or custom builds from source.

Additionally, if Nvidia could provide insight as to why Ubunutu 20.04 is not officially supported with Jetpack 4 that would be great. I am shocked this has not been resolved considering the repeated question and the popularity of the Jetson Nanos.

@rachel11 there are also pre-built ROS container images for Jetson here https://github.com/dusty-nv/jetson-containers

I’m not sure if those are the community images you were referring to, but the Noetic images for JetPack 4.6 (L4T R32.7) were updated recently: https://hub.docker.com/repository/docker/dustynv/ros/tags?page=1&ordering=last_updated&name=noetic-ros-base-l4t-r32.7.1
