We recently initiated an update from Ubuntu 18.04 to the latest version 20 on our Tegra A. All the update steps proceeded without any issues. However, after the system prompted for a restart, the computer shut down. Since then, there’s been no display on the screen (just a black screen) and the fans have been running non-stop.
Is it normal for the update to take this long? What should we do in this situation?
Any guidance or assistance would be greatly appreciated.
When we connected an Ethernet cable and the system detected an internet connection, a window popped up suggesting an update to Ubuntu 20.04. At no point during this process were we informed or warned that this version is not supported by the DRIVE AGX Xavier devkit.
Since yesterday, we’ve been faced with a black screen and the fans running at full speed. Could you please guide us on what steps to take next and how we might recover our Tegra A?
Before proceeding, I’d like to ensure that I correctly back up all the important data and configurations from the device. Could you please provide detailed steps on how to do this, especially given the current state of the device with the black screen?
Additionally, could you also provide a step-by-step guide on how to reflash the original version of Ubuntu onto the DRIVE AGX Xavier devkit?
Your detailed instructions will be greatly appreciated to ensure we don’t lose any critical data and can restore the system properly.
