Unable to login to Omniverse Launcher on Ubuntu

I am unable to log into the launcher on my Ubuntu VM. The app redirects me to Firefox where I log in to my account, but then the Launcher does not login to my account. It is always frozen on the login page. Cancelling the login attempt and trying again does not seem to work. I was able to login from my Windows machine, however.

I’m having the same problem (except t hat I’m not on a VM)

Omniverse was working previously on this Ubuntu 22.04 machine- but now it gets stuck on this

If I remove the token part of the URL e.g change http://localhost:33480/desktop/login-result?state=XXX to http://localhost:33480, I get the main screen, but can’t install any apps or create a new nucleus service or local server

I’d say the omniverse launcher is broken, or the paths are wrong

For example, when I try to create a new server, it goes to this URL, but htis path does not exist
omniverse-launcher://navigate?path=/collaboration/installation/path

Do I need to reset the paths ??

thank you

Andrew

Omniverse requires a “chromium” browser to authenticate. Firefox, which is installed by default in Ubuntu is not a chromium browser and therefore will fail. You will need to install Chrome.

im doing this on chrome, and im still facing the same issue.

In all cases, I would need the Launcher logs to see why. If you are on Linux you need to have Fuse2 installed.
