I am trying to use KSZ9896 on my custom board which is using Xavier AGX som.KSZ9896 connected over RGMII interface on port 6 and I2C bus. I am trying to use the driver from the below link.

Hi! I’m trying to use KSZ9896 as PHY on Jetson Xavier custom board. What should I do to bring up ethernet on my board. Do I need KSZ9896 drivers or I can use default drivers and just config device tree? KSZ9896 connected over RGMII interface on port 6 and MDIO bus.

I have this doubt, why do we need to configure the registers using reg_bin utility after installing the driver?
Also have anyone tried implementing this on I2C ?

I remember the issue behind this one is not what we can resolve. The steps are suggested by the vendor of KSZ9896.
