What exactly(!) means 'deactivate'?

Hey!

I’m working with IsaacSim 4.2 and 4.5 and I’m simply wondering what the ‘deactivate’-function in the Stage actually means.

If I deactivate a prim with contains an OmniGraph, the object is not visible anymore in the scene, but the ActionGraph is still executed (even though it’s not shown in the Stage), which is mildly surprising.

So how can I actually ‘deactivate’ something without deleting it?

I just noticed that python scripts are also executed for ‘deactivated’ prims.
