What is the difference between reset/recovery mode and recovery mode on Jetson AGX?

Hello,

For a long time to flash Jetson AGX I used simple Recovery + Power buttons. And all was fine.
But now I have new AGX that refuses to flash in this mode.
And in some documents I found that to flash I must use Recovery + Reset buttons to enter in reset/recovery mode.

What is the difference between reset/recovery mode and recovery mode on Jetson AGX?

hello villy21,

no difference, all the approaches to enter forced-recovery mode for image flashing.

I ask because one official document writes about Force Recovery Mode to flash Welcome — Jetson Linux<br/>Developer Guide 34.1 documentation

And the other about Reset/Recovery mode https://docs.nvidia.com/jetson/l4t/index.html#page/Tegra%20Linux%20Driver%20Package%20Development%20Guide/flashing.html#wwpID0E0MQ0HA

Also to enter Reset/Recovery mode first you make all operations like in Force Recovery and after that press Reset button.

Are you sure that all this in final put Jetson to the same mode ?

hello villy21,

yes, it’s two different approaches but they’re entering the same Force Recovery Mode (RCM).
