White and Green Artifacts After Waking From Sleep GTX 960

I have a GTX 960 on a Gigabyte motherboard and for as long as I can remember my system has had some graphical issues waking from sleep. Every time I wake the computer some of my applications have some strange white and green artifacts on them. For instance, if I sleep the computer with Visual Studio Code open then the zoomed out view of your file on the right hand side of the application will be corrupt and look as I described above. This is usually easily remedied by refreshing the web page or navigating the application, but it still fairly annoying. This seems to happen on both GTK and Qt based desktops. I haven’t tried messing with any of the NVIDIA settings so if there’s something to fix this that would be awesome, otherwise let me know what kind of information, logs or images I could provide that would help.
