About whether the new physics engine 'Newton' is usable on Isaac Sim

I know that the latest physics engine “Newton” can be used in Isaac Lab, and I want to know whether it can be used in Isaac Sim. Or is there a way to use “Newton”? Because I have seen that “Newton works with Isaac Lab, but developers can also call it directly via Python in standalone mode to experiment with complex physical systems.”

Newton integration will be available with Isaac Sim 6.0 in stages.

In the current open‑source early developer preview of Isaac Sim 6.0, Newton support is planned to be exposed in a beta form by the upcoming GTC, primarily targeting early adopters and experimentation. With the Isaac Sim 6.0 general availability (GA) release, Newton is expected to be in a more stable and officially supported state within the Isaac Sim stack.

@VickNV
Thank you for your reply. So, is there a release date for the official version of Isaac Sim 6.0?

We generally should avoid sharing specific release dates on the forum. For now, our main focus is on the Isaac Sim 6.0.0 OSS update, along with the upcoming GTC, so we are not able to provide a firm GA date yet.
