Booting from SD card or USB stick with JETSON NANO DEV KIT (with EMMC)

Hello everyone,

I have bought 2 months ago the “JETSON NANO DEV KIT” under the following link: https://www.waveshare.com/wiki/JETSON-NANO-DEV-KIT

The problem it has an internal storage 16G (EMMC) and it boots naturally from that only at the moment.
Previously I bought the standard version of the jetson-nano (B01) that boots from an external SD card and everything worked good as planned.

My questions are:

  1. Is there a way to boot my current jetson (with EMMC) from an SD card ? at the moment it doesn’t even recognise any external SD card (that’s another problem)
  2. Is there a way to boot it from a USB stick ?

Thanks in advance for the feedback

We have 2 kinds of Nano module, one is eMMC version, the other is SD card version.
They can be flashed via the SDK manager by JetPack.
There is no SD card slot on Jetson Nano devkit carier board.
Does the Waveshare carrier board have SD card slot?

You can boot from external NVME, please refer to NVIDIA Jetson Linux Driver Package Software Features : Bootloader | NVIDIA Docs
