FleX Cloth Simulation


My name is Matthew Alexander, straight to the point I want to be able to use Nvidia FleX to create cloth hanging from a ceiling in Unreal.
More specifically I want this cloth to be collidable and interactable, the client needs to be able to go into vr and poke the cloth, even grab and stretch it.
Can Nvidia FleX do this?

Hi Matthew,

Yes, there are example maps showing hanging cloth with this kind of interaction. You can use collision against the environment or force fields to interact with the cloth.

In the future I would recommend using the Github issues tracking on the UE4 integration branch for questions such as this.
