Detailed Description
A while back I was attempting to diagnose collision issues, and I was toggling a bunch of render and viewport settings to show collider approximations.
I don’t remember how, but I had enabled a setting where it renders colored meshes on the selected prim.
This can be distracting since it hides the actual prim boundaries.
Example:
Each object has a different colored mesh wrapping it.
Yellow, Pink, Purple, Light Gree, Green, Orange, …
Questions
- What is this setting?

@mattmazzola just to clarify, are you looking to disable the collision mesh display altogether or just the coloring of the collision mesh?
also, would it be possible for you to take a screenshot of what viewport display options are ticked on under Show By Purpose
and Show By Type > Physics > Colliders
flyouts?

I am not sure of the difference. What ever gets the picture on the left with the colored mesh to go back to the default image on the right.
I understand that rendering of collider green wireframes is different than rendering mesh. As seen in this picture
take a screenshot of … physics colliders
Even with None selected (This is for the wireframes) it is still showing the colored mesh
After playing around more in the UI, I am suspicious that it has something to do with the Physics Authoring toolbar.
Based on the behavior, it seems there is an “Automatic Collider Generation” setting that stuck on and even when I toggle it off. I can click Set Static or Set Dynamic buttons and see it recompute the colored mesh and this is why I think it’s related; however, I have not found a combinations of settings to disable it entirely. Even when I remove the authoring toolbar and attempt to disable or uncheck all physics settings.
