Is there a reason why the omni python api must run on top of the ov kit runtime? I want to use the omni python api independently, not on top of the kit runtime. Without the kit runtime. :)
Hi there and welcome. I am not sure I follow. Can you explain more? What are you developing? This is a forum for Omniverse Kit. We provide an API for python to use with the kit runtime. Trying to use it independently, does not achieve any alignment. If you wanted python without kit, that is just regular python.

hello! i wondering used the omni python API on VScode, not in USD composer’s script editor. it means, without kit runtime, omni python api is being possible the standalone type.
but so many google search for that, we couldn’t that process. is any other ways?
As far as I am aware that is an extension that needs to be inside USD Composer and through the script editor yes.
