Jetson Nano B01 (2GB version) fails to boot

As the title states, I’m having trouble getting my Jetson Nano B01 (2GB Developer Kit) to boot. Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

  1. I followed the official guide at https://developer.nvidia.com/embedded/learn/get-started-jetson-nano-2gb-devkit to flash the SD card image onto a 128GB microSD card. I inserted the card properly into the slot and powered the board using a 5V/3A USB-C power supply. The green LED lights up as expected, but when I connect an HDMI monitor, there’s no signal—nothing appears on the screen.

  2. I also installed the **Windows** version of NVIDIA SDK Manager. I shorted Pin 9 and Pin 10 on the 12-pin Button Header to force the board into recovery mode, then connected it to my PC via the Micro-USB data port while powering it with the USB-C cable. However, SDK Manager shows “Could not detect a board.”

At this point, I’m starting to suspect a hardware issue. Could anyone advise what I should try next? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

Update:

  1. I’ve already tried different power cables and USB data cables, but the issue remains unchanged.

  2. When connecting the Jetson to my PC via microUSB cable, Device Manager doesn’t show any new device being detected.

You won’t get that device to flash with sdkmanager on Windows.

Windows won’t be possible to flash it. Try to get a native Ubuntu 18.04 first.

Hi,
I’ve installed Ubuntu 18.04 alongside Windows on my PC and connected everything as instructed. However, the issue persists—the SDK Manager still doesn’t detect the board, and lsusb also shows no device. The current state of the dev kit is shown in the attached image.

Hi,
Based on the information you provided, I checked my board. The module model is P3448, and the carrier board model is P3451, which I think is the official NVIDIA devkit.

Has this board worked before? Or, did you get it from somewhere with history unknown? Not sure if you got a new or used board.

Please make sure that USB cable is really able to work to send data.

For example, not a cable that only be able to charge power.

Oh my goodness—thank you so much! I replaced the Micro-USB cable, and now it’s connecting to the SDK Manager without any issues.
