Jetson Xavier NX updated configuration not detected

Running SDK Manager 2.1 on Ubuntu 20.04. Jetson Xavier NX is just not recognized.
The board has a new configuration: a Molex port for RTC battery, USB-C instead of micro-USB, and a DP instead of HDMI.
Previous board configurations we have (no Molex battery port, micro-USB, HDMI) are automatically detected on the same setup.

Are you using custom carrier board?

Do you mean that the Xavier NX is not detected by your host?

What’s the Jetpack version in use?

Are you trying to design the new custom carrier board?

Yes - the NX is not detected by the host.
Jetpack version 6.1
I am using a WaveShare carrier board.
Thanks.

It seems you are using the custom carrier board so that please request the custom BSP package from your vendor instead of using SDK Manager to flash the board.

You can simply short REC/GND before powering up the board to enter into force recovery state and it should be recognized by your host through USB cable.
