Login screen does not show up after installing a new dual boot Ubuntu 20.04, driver 470.82.01, card GTX 1660 SUPER

hi,

I am installing a fresh dual boot with Ubuntu 20.04, card GTX 1660 super (desktop). The installation seems fine, at least no error. But after rebooting the login does not show up

I’ve attached the logs. Basically, errors show up in nvidia-settings and nvidia-bug-report. I’ve done some searching but it seems others have different setup so does not help

big thanks for any help.

boot.log (18.9 KB)
dkms_status.log (56 Bytes)
nvidia-bug-report.log (1.9 MB)
syslog.log (1.2 MB)
Xorg.0.log (54.3 KB)
Xorg.1.log (42.7 KB)

there is some update. After some reboot, without doing anything further, I already can log in, but the nvidia-settings output is now different (in GUI mode, and with the nvidia-settings app showed up)

(nvidia-settings:4118): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: 15:48:23.691: g_object_unref: assertion ‘G_IS_OBJECT (object)’ failed
** Message: 15:48:23.819: PRIME: No offloading required. Abort
** Message: 15:48:23.819: PRIME: is it supported? no

still nvcc is not corrected installed:

Command ‘nvcc’ not found, but can be installed with:

I also attached a new nvidia-bug-report where persistenced already passed
nvidia-bug-report.log (2.0 MB)

the last error was just I did not do the post-installation. Everything seems fine now. Still not sure why this installation I need to restart more than 1 time to make it work.
