Hi,
we have a Jetson Orin Nx 16G with a “Jetson Orin NX AI Development Kit For Embedded And Edge Systems”. Till Friday we could connect the Jetson through ssh, or connect it to the screen with HDMI cable. But suddenly we have lost all communications, although it is turned on. When I connect the USB cable, also it does not detect anything. (I have plugged it in/out and restarted it several times)
I tried to reflash it using SDK manager installed in Ubuntu 22.04 virtual machine, but the tool does not recognise the Jetson.
Any help would be appreciated.
You should put your Jetson to recovery mode before flashing.
Later on the host pc you need to check using “lsusb” command, if the jetson device is listed as “NVidia corp..” so that you can start flashing
I connected pins 9 and 10 with a jumper to force recovery mode. But no luck. The SDK manager does not recognise the Jetson.
“lsusb” returns nothing, although the host was connected usb c port of Jetson.
I foolowed instructions in this image, but as u see in red, “could not detect a board”
Did you try step 7 which says remove the jumper cable.
Untill you bring the board to recovery mode, you cannot flash.
Try Automatic method and see as Jetson is already flashed once, it should appear in recovery mode through automatic method.
Yes, I also did step 7. Automatic method also does not work. In automatic method, also it shows could not detect a board, and the flash button is not enabled
any idea what could be the problem?
Basically, we do not support SDK manager to run on VM, and suggest to have a native Ubuntu host device.
However, some developers did try with VM successfully, you can refer to Jetson Orin Nano (Super) boot from NVMe - using a VM to configure this to see if can help on your case.
Thanks for the reply. The issue is solved. The reason was about the VM. I was using Hyper-V manager to create Ubuntu22.04 VM, which does not support usb through pass. I tried VMWare, and it worked.
