I am attempting to flash a Jetson Orin NX however it fails with a USB timeout error. After some investigation, the kernel logs show that it failed to initialize the SDRAM. I found a closed topic on this issue already, however it was not resolved (Cannot flash Orin NX, Failed to initialize SDRAM)
Like the person in the forum, I am on an Ubuntu 22.04 machine flashing a 5.1.3 Jetpack version. I haven’t had any issues flashing other Jetsons.
A few questions:
Is there a way for me to easily verify that the issue is hardware?
Is this a known issue for Orin NX?
If it is a know issue, will there be a patch/fix for this? If not, what is the likelihood of this issue on any given Orin NX modules?
I am using a custom carrier board (Forecr) and they don’t have JP 5.1.5 JP support (only up to 5.1.4 for 5.x). They do have support for JP 6.0, 6.1, and 6.2. I will give these a try and get back to you with what I find.
