My Orin nano loops into recovery mode when I inserted JetPack 5.1.3 image to upgrade firmware version

I connected all the peripherals . The power turns on but screen stays for 5 sec on nvidia logo and then goes into auto recovery boot. I tried switching cables, power adapters , keyboard and mouse but everytime it gets stuck. What to do?

Hi,

The straightforward way is to use the sdk manager to full flash your orin nano device.
Could you screen shot the UEFI version?

Some questions to confirm:

  • How do you flash your device? Which document or referred link you follow?
  • Is it a first time you flash your orin nano?

Thanks

I flashed the Jetson SDK 6x. first using balena etcher following the guide from nvidia. Then when i saw the UEFI version i confirmed mine was world and reflashed it with JETSON 5.1.3 for firmware upgrade .

Yes, this is my first time flashing orin nano. When i tried to flash with the newer jetpack I got into the nvidia logo and their my keyboard wasnt woring. After a while it took me to shell and I got into the boot menu as you can see in 3rd picture.

My problem is while trying to upgrading the firmware, I inserted the sd card, powered orin nano on with all the peripherals, the nvidia screen comes, stays for 5 secs , the fan stops even though power is on , display goes black saying no input signal is found and this process goes on a loop everytime I unplug and replug the orin nano.

Using a sandisk 128gb sd card for flashing and i is UHS-I supported

DavidDDD ?

I used the SDKmanager method and it worked for me. The firmware auto updated and booted into the new jetson 6.0
