GRUB loads fine, but I simply cannot get the actual (Debian) installer to give an output. Have tried fiddling with the “SoC Display Hand-Off Mode/Method” settings as per the official Getting Started guide to no avail. Not even “nomodeset” did the trick.

And there is still no display output? Do you use Jetpack 7.1 r38.4?
No the issue is unrelated to the Jetson flavor of Ubuntu. I’m simply trying to install a stock distribution of Debian wherein the Installer fails to give an output.

Not quite sure about the issue. Do you mean you don’t use default Ubuntu desktop on the AGX Thor developer kit?
