Nucleus Server stopped running on Ubuntu, cannot reinstall

Hello, Running Isaac Sim on Ubuntu 18 with a RTX 2070

Things were going fine until I startup up this AM and Nucleus was not running. I rebooted a few times and still nothing. So I uninstalled and re-installed using the launcher, but keep running into these two alternating messages:

I downloaded the stand alone installer but that does not seem to help.

Is it possible to use Issac Sim without Nucleus locally?

THanks

same here, already tried to clean up the system. Also, machinima is pointed to be installable in linux but install button is missing.

I wish there was a script to run, it would be easier to debug this. Hiding everything behind the gui makes it difficult to know what is happening.

Hello @kip.haynes! Welcome to the Community! Hello @eliabntt94!

I have notified the development team about this issue. I hope to hear back soon! Thanks for reaching out to us!

@kip.haynes, can you provide us your Nucleus Logs? You can find them here:
Nucleus Logs: %HOMEPATH%\.nvidia-omniverse\logs

Hi @WendyGram. I cannot provide you the logs but I can give you some details
What happened to me is that nucleus-2021.2.4.zip got downloaded and unzipped. The tuml file however is not present in the folder.
If I then try to run nucleus/setup -i manually, I got an error about net framework library.

I’ll get to my pc in 12 hrs sorry for to being much more precise.

Hi @WendyGram. Here the output of nucleus-setup -i launched from the command line

A fatal error occurred. The required library libhostfxr.so could not be found.
If this is a self-contained application, that library should exist in [/home/ebonetto/.local/share/ov/pkg/nucleus-workstation-2021.2.4/setup/].
If this is a framework-dependent application, install the runtime in the global location [/usr/share/dotnet] or use the DOTNET_ROOT environment variable to specify the runtime location or register the runtime location in [/etc/dotnet/install_location].

The .NET runtime can be found at:

Attached the downloaded zip
Nucleus Workstation.zip (170.6 KB)

Nucleus logs are not available. I’ve attached the whole log folder anyway.logs.zip (4.0 KB)

@WendyGram As a minor suggestion I’d let people chose the nucleus version to install at least between the latest and the previous one. I cannot work with omniverse right now and I have no clue how to download the 2021.2.2 zip to install it.

Also, please point out to the team that the machinima install button in linux is not available despite being listed as installable in linux.

I have partially resolved this by downloading the maunal nucleus installer, copying the directory structure into .local/share/ov/pkg/nucleus-workstation-launcher-2021.1.1.linux-x86_64/

Still I think the installer has some problems.

@kip.haynes Nucleus 2021.2.5 is out and installing :)
