I’ve created a USD comprising a bottle with OmniGlass material. However, when I try to place the glass bottle behind another glass object with OmniGlass material, it becomes dark. In my view, I should be able to see the colors of the object behind the glass, maybe slightly darker or shifted, but not completely obscured.
The image below illustrates what happened.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated! Many thanks in advance.
@pedro.oliveirasilva i am just another user, so take my input as a grain of salt.
which OV app are using? it been mentioned by the mods in other thread that Composer is more robust with rendering than, say, Isaac Sim:
so it would be great if you could confirm on your end
also, what renderer are you using (RTX-realtime or RTX-interactive)? would it be possible to show your render settings?
Thank you for the response. I am using RTX-realtime, but I tested RTX-interactive, and the result is that the rest of the bottle glass becomes dark. I also tested other materials similar to glass, and the result is the same.
Thank you for the clarification. I am using the Composer.
@Richard3D Thank you, it worked well. I changed the values in Ray Tracing > Translucency > Max Refraction Bounces to 8, and it solved the issue. Once again, thanks to everyone.
