Apple provides the OpenCL software on MacOS. Any questions about hardware support should be directed to Apple.

From answer it isn’t clear to me if it’s supposed to work ocl+quadro4000 but is my issue or it’s not generally supported right now…

I can confirm that the CUDA SDK 3.2 OpenCL examples do not detect the Quadro 4000 on Mac. (Mac Pro 12-core, 10.6.5 )

The examples do detect the CPUs and my installed ATI Radeon HD 5770.
