Hi,
Our Jetson AGX Orin Devkit is experiencing a power issue where it no longer boots up, and the LED indicators remain off when power is applied via both USB-C and the DC barrel connector. This same devkit has successfully booted in the past, so this is an unexpected failure.
An incorrect voltage was somehow supplied to the Jetson via a DC Barrel Adapter, and that caused some parts of the board to burn (see image above). We tried supplying the correct voltage and current (12V 5A) via power supply, but the LED indicator and the fan don’t turn on. We tried flashing the latest Jetpack version, but it failed. Given these symptoms, we’d appreciate any recommendations for further debugging.
If the issue points to a hardware failure, we’d like to move forward with the RMA process.
Hi,
If the device cannot be flashed/booted, please refer to the page to get uart log from the device:
https://elinux.org/Jetson/General_debug
And get logs of host PC and Jetson device for reference. If you are using custom board, you can compare uart log of developer kit and custom board to get more information.
Also please check FAQs:
Jetson AGX Orin FAQ
If possible, we would suggest follow quick start in developer guide to re-flash the system:
Quick Start — NVIDIA Jetson Linux Developer Guide 1 documentation
And see if the issue still persists on a clean-flashed system.
Thanks!
Our NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin 64GB Developer Kit is still not functioning.
We were able to detect the Jetson on the serial console through the microUSB debug port by connecting the Jetson to another PC running Ubuntu, so some parts of the Jetson board are still operational. But, the LED indicator for power and the cooling fan doesn’t turn on.
We also tried reflashing Jetpack by following the documentation, but it failed.
