Hi!
CUDA total newB here… so forgive me if this is a stupid question. I’m trying to install CUDA drivers under Windows7 Home Premium 64bit running from a BootCamp (3.1) partition on a MacBookPro with a 9600GT/256Mb card (late 2008 15" MBP - this one has also a 9400M chip onboard but Win7 doesn’t seem to recognize it and goes for the GT card).
the Software I’d like to use (Octane GPU render) requires 190.38 CUDA drivers and Ms Visual C++ 2005.
when I try to install 190.38 notebook_beta from the CUDAget webpage I get a “The NVIDIA Setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware” error. Same for 190.38 general. I got a clean Win7 install and I’ve tried with any previously installed nVidia Driver (the ones installed by Windows7, then BootCamp 3.0, BootCamp 3.1, and 195.62 from nVidia site). for every package I choosed 64bit version.
I googled for a couple of hours now, found some reporting similar issues but couldn’t find any solution/workaround… so I’m asking here again. any help really appreciated!
thank you in advance,
Alessandro
