Rotated top viewport camera and trees missing leaves after saving and loading

I created 3d models within Blender (3.4.0-usd.103.0) containing a sculped plane and train track. These I exported (usd-format) and imported in omniverse code.
Next I use the paint tool and “draw” in trees and everything works fine (besides the scaling seems to be off and I have to scale the blender model by a factor of 50).

When I save this project and reopen it within omniverse code, every tree has no leaves (besides the first one) and the top view is randomly rotated. Restarting omniverse code and then loading the projekt again causes the same bugs.

Following video shows the bugs (mouse is in the video a bit off):

Computer/ System Environment

  • Windows 10
  • NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER/ Driver DCH 522.30
  • Omniverse Code 2022.3.1
  • kit_20230105_105628.log (1007.2 KB)

I hope you can help me :)

Hi @yannick.otten. Can you retry in the latest Create app for me just to confirm it’s not a Code-specific issue?

Hey @mati-nvidia and thanks for your reply.

I inspected the bug further and had the same behavior in Create.

But it seems like the issue is related to the Blender usd file.
I always created the usd file with Blender and opened it within Omniverse Code and than the bugs appear, but if I create a new project and only add the Blender usd file, everything seems to work fine (and the scaling is fixed too).

That solves the issue for me. Thanks! :)
