SGTL5000 Codec Chip ID read error

we are able to see wave on the CRO whenever we run “aplay” command on the i2S4 line from the SOM module, but we are not able to see the output from the codec on LINE OUT.

Probably you are getting silent then. Could you please check if you had done SGTL5000 mixer control settings to unmute the Lineout as mentioned here,
