The role of the GPU in sample_lidar_accumulator

I am a freshman in px2 and driveworks. I want to know the parameter --type=[cpu|gpu] in sample_lidar_accumulator. What is the gpu in the lidar component used for ?calculating or capturing the raw point cloud. I used pcl lib to process the point data.May use the pcl in px2?

The last release of DRIVE PX2 has DW 1.2 which makes use of CPU to perform lidar accumulation operations. So using --type parameter is just a typo error in DW 1.2 documentation. Currently, we are targeting DRIVE releases for DRIVE AGX platform. Consider upgrading to DRIVE AGX platform to get latest DRIVE releases.
