Hello, I’m trying to download Isaac Sim assets from Nucleus, because it’s extremely slow when I’m trying to open any Isaac Sim example (It once took an entire afternoon to open the navigation example). But I found that the asset(omniverse://localhost/NVIDIA/Assets/Isaac/4.2/Isaac/) is too large that the link times out after downloading about 10G.
Any idea that how I can download the assets? Or maybe there are other options to avoid the extremely long loading time?
I tried Isaac Examples>ROS2>Navigation>Carter Navigation and iw.hub Navigation. It took forever to load. Now I have downloaded the resources and changed Isaac Sim asset path, it only takes a few minutes to load these two examples now.
I have a similar issue. Everything else I tried loaded pretty fast. But these examples had issues. Specifically, only the robots and some obstacles loaded, but the warehouse itself didn’t load even after an hour.
Downloading (collecting) and then opening from the downloaded folder worked really fast. Even right clicking on the example, then selecting “copy URL”, then opening that URL worked fast.
Only double clicking on the thumbnail picture in the “Isaac Assets (beta)” window has problems.
Wonder if there was an issue at some point and there is a corrupted file in the cache ? What is the proper procedure for clearing the cache for the Isaac Assets (beta) distribution ? Clearing the cache in Nucleus or the Cache app in the Omniverse launcher doesn’t seem to do it.
How can I force a reset of the cache status for all Isaac Sim assets ?
I’m not sure if we are experiencing the same problem. For me, it’s a network thing. So I download all the asset according to this GitHub issue, and set the Isaac Sim assets path to a local file. I have to say, it’s more than 100G. I hope this can help.
