Voltage Input for NVIDIA Jetson AGX Thor Development Kit (Power via Microfit port)

Hello. From the datasheets, the NVIDIA Jetson AGX Thor Dev Kit supports a range of voltage input between 9-28V DC (Up to 8A) using the Micro-fit power input.

I want to power it through a direct connection to a BD Spot GXP, which supports either 12V or 24V at 150W for power supply. Does supplying 24V of power to the Thor through the microfit connector present any risk of burning the circuitry inside? Seems from the datasheet that there is a 21V limit for the Thor module, although I suppose there is power regulation going on the full Dev Kit. I just want to make sure if it is safe to supply power to the Thor this way. Seems like supplying the full 130W through 12V could draw too much current for the microfit connector rated at 8.5 Amps

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Hello,

For the Jetson AGX Thor Developer Kit, the Micro-Fit power input on the developer kit carrier board supports a 9V to 28V DC input. Therefore, supplying 24V through the Micro-Fit connector is within the supported input range.

Please note that this applies to the developer kit carrier board input, not directly to the Jetson Thor module input. The carrier board includes the required power regulation circuitry before supplying power to the module.
