What is the trace length inside the ORIN module

I’m testing sensor on ORIN,3trio MIPI-CPHY module,The maximum speed of CIS MIPI is different,Is it caused by the inconsistent length of the wiring inside the module? What is the line length of the MIPI inside the module

Hi, the custom carrier board design only needs to follow the trace length reqeusts in Design Guide.

Hi, we used the same test method on the JETSON AGX ORIN Developer Kit and the results were the same, different CSI MIPI-lane maximum speed was different

I don’t get what your questions are for. There is skew b/w trios or with trios as you can see in the routing guideline as each trace has different length.

We test on JETSON AGX ORIN Developer Kit and JETSON AGX Orin 32GB Module with our own carrier board,

,the maximum MIPI speed of different CSI is different, both of the Develop Kit and Module with our own carrier board is CSI_C is better than others. I want to know why, is it caused by the trace length of module board or other reason

Do you mean “max data rate” instead of your “maximum MIPI speed”? If carrier board routing meet the requirements in the guide, the data rate could reach up to 4.5Gsps per trio as you can see in the guide. Only the use case and memory bandwidth could limit it.

Yes, it’s max data rate. But why Developer Kit with a adapt board, MIPI max data rate performance different between different CSI interface. Trace length on adapt board meet the requirements.

The devkit carrier board routing design is not for the max data rate. As said, to reach the max data rate, the custom carrier board routing only needs to follow the guideline no matter what the trace length on module is.

Could you provide the trace length on module for us. We want the data rate of each interface is consistent. May not up to the max data rate.

No, we don’t share that. The custom routing should follow the inter/intra-skew which will guarantee no violation to the MIPI spec.

hello 2316283965,

do you also have some test results for reference?
for instance, what’s the CPHY data-rate you’re used, which CSI brick you’ve evaluated?

We use it to test our own camera module, and the MIPI data rate can reach 4Gsps. The devkit carrier board with adapt board, the max MIPI data rate is: CSI_A–3.55Gsps,CSI_B–3.648Gsps,CSI_C–3.744Gsps,CSI_D–3.55Gsps. Our own carrier board test results is: CSI_A–3.74Gsps,CSI_B–3.74Gsps,CSI_C–3.84Gsps,CSI_D–3.96Gsps.

OK ,thanks!
