64 gb Orin Jetson AGX, Cannot enter recovery mode

I updated my orin jetson AGX to ubuntu 22.04 on accident. now i can’t get into recovery mode to reflash. I tried the method listed in the documentation. such as holding the middle button then plugging in the power. I also tried pressing the middle button, then the reset button while the power is on.

When I do lsusb i don’t see anything while the usb-c next to the 40 pin is connected. When I plugin the micro usb and do lsusb I see Bus 001 Device 009: ID 0955:7045 NVIDIA Corp. Tegra On-Platform Operator
I am also able to get logs with minicom such as the ones below, but don’t know what to make of them

If you cannot see anything related to Jetson from type C port after you put the board into recovery mode, make sure

  1. Your host PC is not a VM
  2. Make sure your type C cable quality.

Yes, I realize it’s not in recovery mode. I’m also running it natively, not on a VM. Running Ubuntu 20.04

What does make sure type-c cable quality mean ?

Try other usb type C cable. Sometimes we hear users using cheap usb cable and it doesn’t work well.
