Cant update Jetson JetPack

I have now tried all (that I can find) options for updating my Jetson AGX Orin, none work.

I cannot access the EUFI to change the boot loading preferences, so I cannot use the SD card method.

I cannot seem to get my Jetson into Forced Recovery mode (both power on and power off methods) so that it is recognised by either the Docker or Ubuntu 20.04 VM implementation on my Windows host machine. I don’t have another handy computer to go to the effort of creating a Ubuntu machine for the purposes of just updating the firmware on the Jetson, and thats assuming the issue is some Windows USB problem rather than the Jetson not playing nice and going into recovery mode.

I am not sure if it matters, but every which way that I try to put my Jetson in recovery mode it still boots up normally. Not sure if that is normal, but it is mentioned nowhere if it is meant to perform or present differently.

Not sure what I can do from here. Seems like I am stuck with a Jetson that cannot be updated. It will severely limit what I can do.

Any help is appreciated.

Hi,

What is your target JP version?

Please refer below to put AGX Orin in recovery mode.

Thanks

Hi David,

Aiming to upgrade to Jetpack 6.2 from 5.1.2 (output from AGX is R35 (release), REVISION: 4.1, GCID: 33958178, BOARD: t186ref, EABI: aarch64, DATE: Tue Aug 1 19:57:35 UTC 2023)

I have followed the steps you directed to, which are basically the same as what I had already done. My laptop did make the sound which indicates something has been connected to it as with any other USB, but lsusb on WSL terminal shows nothing.

Thanks

Hi,

Please find the native ubuntu (e.g. Dual boot) .
And install sdk manager to flash the device.

Thanks
