/dev/ttyUSB0 no such file or directory when RPLidar A1 is connected to the Jetson Nano 2GB

Hello,

I have recently bought a Jetson Nano 2GB and an RPLidar A1 (the lidar came in as a new version, with a green board instead of the usual black).

When I plug in the lidar to the jetson and type “ls -l /dev | grep ttyUSB”, nothing shows up; hiwever, the lidar starts spinning. According to the RPLidar A1 instructions, we should be able to see an output “crw-rw---- 1 root dialout 188, 0 Dec 31 20:33 ttyUSB0”

What would be the next steps to make sure the jetson recognizes the lidar? Is the Jetson Nano 2GB compatible with the RPLidar A1?

Thank you very much!
Best regards
