do I need to set MIPI lane speed for cameras slower than 1.5gbps?

In tegra_camera_platform.c I see a setting for “max_lane_speed” and for the TX1 this is set to 1.5 gbps.
If I have a slower camera, say 600 Mbps, do I need to explicitly set the lane speed?
