Failed to connect to omniverse local host

Hello all,

I’m hoping someone can help me with the error I’m encountering when trying to connect to omniverse local host.
I visit http://localhost:34080/ and get

However, when I tried to visit http://localhost:3080/ , there is always an “Unable to connect” error.

I saw fail-to-connect-to-omniverse-local-host and disabled the firewall of firefox,

but it doesn’t fix the problem.

I am using Ubuntu 20.04.5 LTS (GNU/Linux 5.4.0-132-generic x86_64).
Could someone please help me troubleshoot this issue? I’d be happy to provide any additional information that might be helpful in resolving the problem.

Thank you in advance for your help!

@Rey19 can you please make sure Nucleus is running (click the hamburger menu in the Local Nucleus Service and select Launch)

Also, please go to the Settings and validate all the services are running.

Hi dlindsey,

Thank you for your message. I clicked the hamburger menu in the Local Nucleus Service and selected Launch, and there is no response.
I tried to launch it three times and can only see commands in the terminal.

Additionally, I tried checking the Settings, however, it seems like I failed to access the setting page.

Thanks for your assistance.

So, the major issue is you are trying to connect to localhost:3080. The default port you should connect to is localhost:34080

Hi dlindsey,

Thank you for your response. Just to clarify, I did not manually set the port to 3080. It was the default port that appeared in the browser when I clicked the hamburger menu in the Local Nucleus Service and selected Settings. I have tried accessing port 34080 before when I first posted the issue, but the screen was as shown in the screenshot, and there was no way to check status of services.

Could you please provide me with further instructions on how to resolve this issue?

Thank you.

I’m sorry, in my initial post, I pasted the wrong image. The image I posted was actually from the NUCLEUS screen in the Omniverse Launcher.
