I have 2 GMSL ar0231-rccb-bae-sf3325 connected on PortA.
I am using a ROS driver to ingest the images. The ROS driver uses driveworks API and has the Camera work flow as mentioned in documentation. I get a consistent frequency of 30Hz when only the driver is working. As soon as I start ingesting the images in stereo disparity calculation ros node, the frequency drops down slowly and settles down somewhere between 20 and 25Hz.
I am not sure what is causing the drop. When I check the tegrastats, I see that, out of 6 cores of CPU, core 1,2,3 and 6 are running almost at 100% but 4 and 5 are almost empty. GPU shows around 50%.
The target application needs around 10Hz image frequency. Is it possible to reduce the frequency of camera from 30 to 10Hz? I saw many posts in the forum where this question was asked but no conclusion was found.
