I used the super admin account to reinstall the launcher and failed to install A2F since yesterday. The problem now has turned to a strange installation failure. I used the super admin account to change my user name from “1” to “Rudeloo” and tried the same routine and still struggling with A2F installation.
Question with the potential user name issue, my other laptop is brand new with a proper letter username(Window 11 Home, log was in previous posts), yet it still can’t run A2F or Create 2023.
Ok so I asked you about anti virus and firewalls. This error means you cannot connect
I do not think you fully understand the problem here:
I created a new log in windows account and installed the launcher and then installed the A2F 2023 and failed. THIS ERROR is installation Failure. I can’t provide any software feedback since it can’t be installed in the first place.
No I certainly do not understand the issue here. Having done this for 2 years and helped hundreds of people, I have no idea what is going with you system. However the installation requires a LIVE internet connection. So yes, anti virus and firewalls make a huge difference when trying to install.
We have tried everything. It is something very wrong with your system, your windows, your other installed software. I think it is your anti virus, but you will not show me or tell me what you are running.
My system spec was in the logs uploaded earlier and in my previous video recorded, my ONE and ONLY anti virus is WINDOWS DEFENDER, which grants all access to omniverse and kit. Up till last year, all 2022 version Omniverse software could be installed and run properly under the same condition. I do have valid internet connection otherwise you won’t get my messages. I was able to install A2F 2023 earlier and couldn’t now. TODAY I changed my IP address to LA and finally downloaded A2F 2023 again, and the test run came back with the same issue. AND speaking of my other genuine software, yeah they all worked fine. EVEN if it did have something to do with my fucked up pc, how about a fresh installation on a fresh new laptop? WHY is it only the 2023 version that failed to launch?

What does this mean ? You are using a VPN ? Where are you located ? You know that we do not support ANY vpn connections and this would certainly be cause for concern.
You know I just wanted to point at that so far you have had 1) A bad windows username and 2) A poor connection, so I feel that there is multiple issues with your computer setup. Nothing to do with our software.
You mention the ‘other newer’ computer. Why not try more on that.
You logs all say the SAME THING. You cannot connect to the download server.
If I were you, I would take my laptop somewhere tototally new, to a new fresh internet connection, and try there. We are getting nowhere with the variables. Let’s try with a new computer, new internet connection.
I work in Shanghai so VPN is needed for connecting to youtube or google. Before last year, VPN isn’t required to download omniverse software or log in Nvidia forum. VPN is turned off once A2F is installed.
So when launching A2F, there is NO VPN.
As for the new laptop, the result is exactly the same so I didn’t bother testing it again and again, losing hope and faith.
And I moved to a new apartment with even better internet so if there is a connection issue, that means I’m actually blocked out by Nvidia Server.
Mostly likely due to the US AI Ban Against China. That’s is my assumption unless your colleage in shanghai has a different user experience.
Ok so after all of this help, all this testing, you failed to mention that you are trying to use OV through a vpn in a restricted region of the world. This closes this thread.
