How to configure VLAN for HSD J21

We want to use HSD J21 to connect another external device under in-vehicle networks. We have some concerns below:

  1. How to configure J21 VLAN? Is there any tools to do this?
  2. What is current J21 working mode, master or slave? How to verify its working mode and how to change its working mode?
  3. Do J21 can auto negotiate to 100M?
  4. For in-vehicle networks, only J12, J14, J21 and half of J11 support? That means only phy chip 88Q2112 support in-vehicle networks.

in-vehicle networks means private network which are not accessible from out side?

How to configure J21 VLAN? Is there any tools to do this?

J21 is a connector and it has 2 ports. VLAN applies to switches. Can you specifies on which switch & port you need VLAN? BTW There is no direct way to enable VLAN on any switch. We may have do it from MCU sw code. Unfortunately such requests can not supported via forum.

Do J21 can auto negotiate to 100M?

We don’t support auto-negotiation for speed. It is being set to fix speed using network config command.

in-vehicle networks means Automotive Ethernet. I think J9, J10, J11, J12, J14 and J21 are working on Automotive Ethernet .

I have done some Ethernet connection testing on my side.

  1. PC->PC->E5779->AGX J9(pin 1&3): PC can ping AGX eth0
  2. PC->E5779->Our Devices: PC can ping Our Devices
    3.Our Devices->AGX J9(pin 1 &3): AGX cannot ping Our Devices
    Seems AGX J9(pin 1&3) working under Slave mode not Master Mode. Can you help me out how to reconfigure J9 working mode?

@SivaRamaKrishnaNV Let’s focuse on all 100M Automotive Ethernet ports: J9 Channel A&B, J10 Channel A&B, J11 Channel A.

Seems they are connecting with Marvel 88Q5050. Our two kinds of requests, one is configuring VLAN, another is configuring with Master & Slave mode. Both of them cannot supported via forum? That mean we need to request help with official channel?
