How to use a controller with jetson Orin NX?

Hi, I am trying to use a Logitech F710 Gamepad with the Jetson Orin NX (8Gb) running Jetpack 6 (? Ubuntu 22.04), but none of the methods I have tried seem to be working. I am very new to Linux in general and I have just got my hands on this Jetson so apologies if this is not the right place to ask such a question or for lack of basic knowledge around this topic.

The controller uses a USB dongle to connect over bluetooth and it is recognised with the lsusb command:

Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0003 Linux Foundation 3.0 root hub
Bus 001 Device 028: ID 05ac:0250 Apple, Inc. Aluminium Keyboard (ISO)
Bus 001 Device 027: ID 046d:c219 Logitech, Inc. F710 Gamepad [DirectInput Mode]
Bus 001 Device 007: ID 0bda:b812 Realtek Semiconductor Corp. RTL88x2bu [AC1200 Techkey]
Bus 001 Device 006: ID 062a:4101 MosArt Semiconductor Corp. Wireless Keyboard/Mouse
Bus 001 Device 005: ID 1a86:55d4 QinHeng Electronics USB Single Serial
Bus 001 Device 003: ID 214b:7250 Huasheng Electronics USB2.0 HUB
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 1a40:0101 Terminus Technology Inc. Hub
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub

I have tried evtest but that doesn’t recognise it and jstest-gtj doesn’t recognise it either. Not really sure what to do as there isn’t a lot of information regarding using controllers/gamepads with Jetson boards.

Hello,

Welcome to the NVIDIA Developer forums! Your topic will be better served in the Jetson category.

I will move this over for visibility.

Cheers,
Tom
