Importing creates extra geometry

Occasionally, when I create geometry in Maya, export as USD and drag into the scene from the content window, extra geometry is created.

This looks like more of a rendering issue with ngons. Are those faces on the object in Maya a giant ngon? If so you could triangulate the mesh to insure that it will render correctly in create.

Let me know if that was the problem!

Looks like nGons were the issue.
