Hello NVIDIA Forum Support Team,
We are experiencing a critical issue after attempting to upgrade our customer’s Jetson TX2 module (P/N: 900-83310-A301-000) from a system image based on JetPack 4.2.2 to a new image based on JetPack 4.6.3 / L4T 32.7.3 (or later).
The customer’s current OS information, provided via the “About” screen, indicates the following configuration:
-
Operating System: Ubuntu 18.04.5 LTS
-
GNOME: 3.28.2
-
Memory: 7.7 GiB
-
Processor: ARMv8 Processor rev 3 (v8l) $\times$ 4, ARMv8 Processor rev 0 (v8l) $\times$ 2
-
Graphics: NVIDIA Tegra X2 (nvgpu)/integrated
The specific issue is that USB connectivity for keyboard and mouse is non-functional on the new image. The system worked correctly with the image generated using JetPack 4.2.2.
We noted that the part number 900-83310-A301-000 is listed in the Major Product/Process Change Notice PCN209140 , which details the addition of Hynix DRAM components for the Jetson TX2.
The PCN recommends that to support the new Hynix DRAM, the software image must include “Appropriate BCT and DVFS changes required by the Hynix memory device” , which are included in JetPack 4.6.3 / BSP 32.7.3 or later. The issue only started appearing after moving to this newer version.
Our Question:-
Could this loss of USB functionality be a side effect of applying the required BCT/DVFS changes for the new Hynix memory (SKH H9HCNNNBKUMLXR-NEE) on this affected module (900-83310-A301-000)?
-
Since the original application was built on JetPack 4.2.2, and the target OS is Ubuntu 18.04.5 LTS, is there a known compatibility patch, specific bootloader configuration, or procedure needed to ensure full USB functionality on this affected module when deploying an L4T 32.7.3+ image?
Thank you for your assistance.
