Proprietary drivers not showing up

Ubuntu 18.04 LTS

I cannot find the Nvidia proprietary drivers even after adding ppa reps and doing sudo update. Software update app always shows Open Source drivers.

I do not want to use the .run to install the drivers, is there any other way to force it to install the non open source driver?

you can try this
To see drivers

sudo ubuntu-drivers devices

To install latest driver

sudo apt install nvidia-driver-470

Did that, it installed the open source ones.
