Hi, I am importing my .stp file into isaacsim and I saw several import options, is there any explanation on it? especially the Tessellation and Convert Visible Only(means the imported .usd file only visible has no collision?)
I have checked the import tutorial, but it seems not very same and I am not sure if my importing way is correct.
Thanks for your quick reply. I also have a question is that whats the meaning of CAD file here? .step, .stp, .stl, etc? and could you recommend one softward to draw .usd file directly? I just saw blender but it is little hard for me. I use onshape, solidworks before.
Please review User Manual — Omniverse Extensions to confirm which CAD file formats are supported by Isaac Sim. If you’re familiar with any CAD software, try using it to import or convert your files.
I assume there should be an default prim and lists of prims inside it to show rigid body and collision/visual mesh. But the imported object has Prototypes, solid1etc I do not understand. Additionally, in the another prim mockup_insertion_plate_6mm in the same level with Prototypescan not be modefied.
My question is that,
If this type is normal.
If its possible to make it to be the normal structure like this:
The application to deformable object in current asset state does not work. In the tutorial Deformable-Body Simulation — Omniverse Extensions, I should set the deformable to the object mesh, but in current asset state I can not find the mesh.
