I was able to launch the newly updated Isaac Sim 2023.1.0 just fine on my Windows 10 desktop but for some reason since last Thursday (November 2nd, 2023) I am unable to start the App.
When I click on the Isaac Sim icon from the Omniverse Launcher the Isaac Sim App Selector window won’t open and nothing happens.
I have deleted the application through the clean-up tool and reinstalled the launcher and the application numerous times and it still won’t open.
Whats really weird is that the previous version of Isaac Sim (ver. 2022.2.1) works fine.
Any suggestion on how to fix this??
I have the following setup for my Windows desktop:
OS: Windows 10
GPU : 4070TI
GPU Driver : 536.67 → I cannot install the recommended driver 528.24, 528.33 since it doesnt support 4070TI

I think you should at least upload your logs or videos so others can guess something and suggest a solution.
There is a bat file that runs isaac sim on Windows.
If you run the 2023 version with bat in cmd, a log will remain.
I recommend uploading that first.
I just reinstalled Isaac Sim 2023.1.0 and towards the end of the installation this command window pops up with a message that reads “Isaac Sim Post-Installation Script” , which I dont recall happening in the past?
(please correct me if I am wrong)
@jaeyeun there are a few logs associated with OV and individual OV apps, the first that might be the most relevant in this case is the Launcher.log file, which you can find inside of this folder:
C:\Users\%username%\.nvidia-omniverse\logs
the remaining logs are Isaac Sim specific (and you will want to upload the most recent file):
i have attached the log file in the directory as you advised. launcher.log (104.2 KB)
however, as you can see from the screenshots below, the Isaac Sim 2023.1.0 specific logs and the folders don’t exist where it should. (the logs pertaining to 2022.2 version of Isaac Sim exists, which is the version that I am able to execute on my Windows desktop)
I always wait until the post-installation is complete, however after completion it always spits out this error message which roughly translates to “cannot access process since another process is accessing this file”. (see image below)
I do not recall seeing this type “post-installation script” nor any error message like this during installation for older versions of Isaac Sim.
Maybe this could be the cause?
The post-install script terminal window is new for 2023.1.0 and can be closed while it is running to skip the shader warm up. It should not affect the Isaac Sim install.
I am unable to attach the two log files that are supposed to be located under the following two directories below as @Simplychenable mentioned above since the “.nvidia-omniverse\logs\Kit” directory is non-existant after completely uninstalling Omniverse and installing Isaac Sim 2023.1.0 again.
