Right after flashing was done, Xavier stopped responding. Now it won’t turn on. The white LED briefly flashes when I push power button on the developer board. No UART output.
Is there any UART output when you did the flash?
Usually we don’t use UART during flashing and for this there is no UART output mid or after flashing.
Currently there is no activity and no UART output when powered on.
No uart log is as serious as hardware defect.
I guess your setup is wrong in dumping uart log. Maybe you could review it first.
I’d like to RMA this item as there is nothing I can do at this point. It turned into a brick.
Just to clarify. Are you still able to flash your board or not?
I don’t care the log can output for now. Just tell if you can still flash or not…
From my point of view, you just did nothing since first day and suddenly it became this board is dead. Basically none information is revealed. It is hard to tell if it really needs RMA in this situation.
I can not flash it because it doesn’t turn on.
The Xavier was taken out of the box, brand new, and flashed. The process of flashing visually seemed to complete correctly.
I turned it off and it would not turn on again. It literally became dead.
The information I have provided so far:
- It would not power on connected to the developer board
- There is no UART output since it can’t be powered on
- I don’t have any logs from the flashing process
Please let me know what other information is needed or can be collected in order to make a decision about the RMA.
So the power LED is not to up after you long press the power button on it?
The LED briefly blinks when I press/long press power button.
I don’t mean to be rude but we are going in circles here as everything I answered so far was mentioned in the earlier messages.
Sorry that the point here now and then was “long press”. Sometimes it requires long press to power on.
If it cannot, then I think you could RMA it.
